“Start your own business” Training Program
Project Overview:
Caritas Lebanon recognized the challenges of guiding and mentoring new generations, especially during times of crisis. To address these challenges, Caritas Lebanon sought support in creating a “”Start your own business”” program. This initiative aimed to assist 60 participants of African origins in developing entrepreneurial skills. Salem Group played a pivotal role as the designer and implementer of this project, contributing to the curriculum development, participant objectives, and program monitoring.
Key Responsibilities:
Salem Group undertook the following key responsibilities in collaboration with Caritas Lebanon:
1. Curriculum Design: Developed a customized curriculum for the “”Start your own business”” program, encompassing various essential business topics to equip participants with the necessary knowledge and skills.
2. Training Delivery: Hosted four groups, each consisting of 15 participants. Delivered the specially designed curriculum, which included engaging tools and slides. The training sessions were conducted in Arabic, English, and French to cater to the diverse linguistic needs of the participants.
3. Curriculum Topics: The curriculum covered a range of vital business subjects, including Accounting, Marketing, Human Resources, Management Key Terms, the Significance of Handmade Products, Creativity Sessions, Market Identification, SWOT Analysis, and Brand Development.
Outcomes:
The joint effort between Salem Group and Caritas Lebanon yielded the following outcomes:
– Successful graduation of 60 participants from the training program.
– Presentation of personal business ideas by participants at the conclusion of the program.
– Awarding of certificates of participation to recognize the accomplishments of the program participants.
– Key lessons imparted in areas such as Accounting, Marketing, Human Resources, Management, Creativity, Market Analysis, and Brand Development, providing participants with valuable entrepreneurial knowledge and skills.
